What a hydra facial actually is
A hydra facial is a multi-step, machine-assisted facial that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one sitting, using a handpiece with a spiral tip and gentle vacuum rather than someone’s fingers and a steamer.
That mechanical difference is the whole point. A traditional facial softens congestion with steam and then squeezes it out manually — effective, but variable and often followed by a day of redness. HydraFacial lifts debris out with suction while flooding the skin with serum, so extraction is more controlled and you leave without the blotchy aftermath.
You’ll see it written both ways — “hydrafacial” and “hydra facial”. Same treatment.
The steps, and what each one is for
| Step | What happens | What it addresses |
|---|---|---|
| Cleanse | Loosens surface oil and the day’s pollution | Delhi’s particulate load |
| Exfoliate | Mild acid loosens the bond holding dead cells on | Dullness, rough texture |
| Extract | Vacuum tip lifts debris out of the pore | Blackheads, congestion |
| Hydrate | Serum infused as the tip passes | Dehydration, tightness |
| Nourish | Antioxidant or brightening serum, chosen for you | Uneven tone, dullness |
| Protect | Moisturiser and sunscreen | Keeps the result |
Around 30–45 minutes end to end. You can wear makeup immediately after, which is why it gets booked at lunch.
Who it genuinely suits
Dull, tired, congested skin. The core case. Buildup on an uneven surface scatters light — clearing it is what produces the “lit from within” look people describe afterwards.
Before an event. Three days ahead is the sweet spot. It is one of the few clinic treatments with no downtime risk, so it will not surprise you the morning of a wedding.
Oily and blackhead-prone skin. Controlled extraction beats squeezing, every time.
Sensitive skin, usually. Gentler than most peels because the exfoliation is mild and brief. We still confirm at consultation.
Most skin tones and types, including deeper Indian skin tones, because nothing here targets pigment with heat.
What it will not do — worth knowing before you book
We would rather set this out than have you disappointed.
- It will not clear active acne. Inflamed, cystic breakouts need proper acne treatment, and extraction over them can worsen things.
- It will not remove pigmentation. Melasma, post-acne marks and set-in tanning are pigment problems and need pigment-directed treatment — see Q-Switch.
- It will not tighten loose skin. That is a collagen problem, and a different treatment — see skin tightening.
- It will not fix pores permanently. Pores look smaller when they are empty. They refill. That is biology, not a failed treatment.
- The glow is not permanent. Expect five to seven days of obvious freshness, then a gradual settle.
If someone sells you a hydra facial as a fix for any of the first three, they are selling the wrong treatment.
How often
For upkeep, once a month matches the skin’s roughly 28-day turnover cycle. Before an event, three days ahead. If your skin is very congested, a closer initial run of two or three sessions two weeks apart, then monthly.
More often than that is spending money on diminishing returns, and we will tell you so.
What it costs in Dwarka
- HydraFacial with glow serum — ₹4,500
- Anti-ageing HydraFacial — ₹6,000
- Combination serum — ₹6,000
The serum is chosen at the session based on what your skin needs that day, not booked blind in advance.
A word on the ₹999 “hydra facial” offers around Delhi: the tip and the serum vials are the real cost of this treatment. At that price something has been substituted — usually a basic suction device and a generic gel, which is a pleasant massage and not this. Ask what device is used and what is in the serum.
Before and after your session
Before — come with a clean face if you can, and skip retinol or any acid exfoliant for two days beforehand. Tell us if you have had any recent procedure or are on acne medication.
After — no downtime, makeup straight away if you want it. Skip the gym, steam and sauna for the rest of the day, and wear sunscreen properly the next morning; freshly exfoliated skin burns faster.
At the clinic
Performed by trained professionals under clinical protocols at our Sector 8, Dwarka centre — a short walk from Sector 9 Metro, and straightforward from Sector 12, Palam, Janakpuri and Uttam Nagar. Open 7 days, 10 AM–8 PM.
If you are not sure whether a hydra facial or something else is right for what is bothering you, the consultation settles it — and quite often the answer is a cheaper, simpler routine. See the full treatment list.
Outcomes vary between individuals. We assess your skin and tailor the serums used at your consultation.
